1. Data We Collect

ShootLink collects the following categories of data to provide its services:

• Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), profile photo.
• Profile data: business name, bio, location, service area, portfolio images, Instagram/website links.
• Booking data: service type, date, time, location, budget, project description, inspiration images.
• Messages: chat messages and conversation history between users.
• Location data: real-time GPS coordinates shared voluntarily during active bookings (creative tracking feature).
• Payment data: subscription tier selection. Payment processing is handled by a third-party processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage data: app interactions, search queries, page views (analytics).
• Device data: device type, OS version, app version, crash logs.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Provide, operate, and improve the ShootLink platform.
• Match clients with creative professionals.
• Send booking confirmations, notifications, and transactional messages.
• Facilitate real-time location sharing during accepted bookings.
• Process subscription payments and enforce membership tiers.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Other users: your public profile, portfolio, and ratings are visible to all users. Your contact details are only shared with parties to a confirmed booking.
• Service providers: infrastructure, analytics, and payment processors acting on our behalf under data processing agreements.
• Law enforcement: when required by applicable law or valid legal process.

4. Location Data

Location sharing is opt-in and only active during an accepted booking session. You may stop sharing at any time via the tracking screen. We do not collect background location data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Booking records are kept for 3 years for legal and dispute purposes. Messages are retained for 2 years.

6. Account Deletion

You may permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your personal profile, messages, and bookings are removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

ShootLink is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Submit requests to privacy@districtempire.com.

9. Sign In with Apple / Google

When you sign in using Apple or Google, we receive only the information you authorise (name and email). We do not access your Apple or Google account beyond initial authentication. Apple's private relay email addresses are fully supported.
